BUSINESS ISSUE:
A retail media company needed help to unite hundreds of community members, create a sense of belonging and build mutually-beneficial relationships. The CEO hired me as a marketing consultant to bring structure, proven processes and problem-solving to a large marketing team.
APPROACH:
✅ Co-led a committee of 19 retail and media leaders to drive awareness and interest within the group using multiple distribution channels.
✅ Transformed initial brainstorming plan into a detailed, written community management strategy, including member communications, value-added benefits and reporting standards.
✅ Led weekly team meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
✅ Reported to senior executives at least monthly.
✅ Presented to community members to educate them on how they benefit and exactly how to participate.
✅ Listened to member feedback and promptly refined our approach to reflect their needs.
RESULTS:
⭐ Promoted to lead the community management committee within 2 weeks.
⭐ Grew member engagement by 40% within 3 months by applying community management best practices I gained serving grocery, e-commerce, healthcare and sports communities throughout my marketing career.
⭐ Initiated popular rewards programs to encourage new habits for mutual gain and make membership fun.
This interactive approach was so well received that management replicated it for subsequent corporate initiatives.
